As part of Bayer’s open innovation ambition, we're offering a unique opportunity to support your startup at the LifeHub California @AgStart Incubator in Woodland, California. Gain access to lab space and shared equipment, along with access to the exciting Greater Sacramento innovation and higher education ecosystem as well as Bayer’s global innovator network.

Background

By funding 12 months of access to shared lab equipment at AgStart for the awarded startup, Bayer will support and accelerate the advancement of innovative ideas and technologies with potential to reduce the environmental impact of modern ag while increasing productivity. Note that this program covers the cost of lab bench space only, and the awarded startup must agree to AgStart’s standard terms and conditions for occupancy. Additionally, startups from any location are eligible, but team members must travel to Woodland, California to access the lab space as desired and Bayer cannot provide visa sponsorship.

Acceptable technology readiness levels (TRL)
We're looking for startups with solutions in the following TRL range:

Facilities and Services
Lab space: the program is designed to cover a 12-month lease for 1 bench at the AgStart incubator in Woodland. AgStart has state-of-the-art wet-lab facilities with basic lab equipment, fume hoods and biosafety cabinets, tissue culture and small-scale fermentation capabilities, as well as offices and meeting areas.
Networking
Proximity to UC Davis and other UC Campuses (Berkeley, UC San Francisco, Santa Cruz), Stanford and the dynamic enteprenurial environment of the San Francisco Bay and Greater Sacramento Areas

Yes, we'd be open to that idea. You'd likely need to be established at the time of incubation, but please do apply.
