Industry partners for sponsored research, co-development or licensing of optical insect-monitoring and THz inspection technologies. Also available for technical consulting on optical sensing and sensor data analysis.
About
Associate Professor of Applied Physics at NJIT. I build laser-based sensors that measure things traditional methods miss, and take them from the lab to the field. Insect sensing: over a decade developing eye-safe near-infrared sensors that count, size and classify flying insects in real time, without traps or chemicals. Our eBoss sensor has run unattended for full seasons, recorded 300,000+ insects, identifies mosquito sex, and is validated against physical traps (NIH-funded). Terahertz NDE: THz imaging, polarimetry and time-domain spectroscopy for non-destructive inspection of polymers, welds and thin films. I help industry with optical sensor design, signal processing and machine learning on sensor data, field validation, and turning research instruments into products.
